Enrichment education is the process of exploring open-ended questions like:
“What do you see?”
“What else looks like that?”
“What feeling does that color bring up for you?”
“Can you remember a moment that felt like this?”
“What was your best…? Your worst…?”
Questions inspire deeper thinking, self-reflection, and discovery. They invite children to ask “Why?”—and to begin discovering their own answers.
Whether it’s music or silence, high energy or stillness, there’s a time for each. I follow the flow of the moment—reading the room, tuning into the mood, and choosing activities that best support the present energy. One day might be filled with movement and creativity; another might lean into books, quiet conversation, and gentle focus.
I get to know your child—what excites them, what soothes them—and tailor each day to support their development, growth, and unique personality.
Your home becomes the classroom! In your child’s most familiar surroundings, adventure can be found in every corner.
Alison ensures your child is not only having fun, but also engaging with subjects they’re newly curious about or already growing to love. Every “student” has unique interests that shift and evolve—Alison serves as an enthusiastic guide, sparking curiosity and nurturing a love of learning along the way.
Everything on Earth… and beyond!
While most of our time is art-focused, creativity comes in many forms. Together we’ve explored painting, musical instruments, plants, photography, board games, yoga, science, cooking, dinosaurs, creepy-crawly creatures, sea life, puppet shows, wildlife, nature walks, tie-dye parties, soccer, keepsake crafts, memory books—and so much more. The list is truly endless.
We dig our hands into dirt to plant seeds. We make just about every handprint project imaginable. We hunt for bugs and document our nature discoveries. We measure and mix ingredients, crack eggs, and bake healthy (and sometimes not-so-healthy!) treats. We observe holidays and share celebrations with friends and family. One of our favorite activities? Visiting the local library and playground. Outdoor play is always encouraged!
With over 15 years of experience working with children, I can happily say I love what I do. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2006, but soon realized my heart was in teaching and caregiving.
After a short time as a Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher, I transitioned into personalized childcare and enrichment. I now work with infants, toddlers, and elementary-aged children, offering in-home support as a caregiver and educator.
It brings me real joy to nurture the whole child—encouraging not just academics, but also emotional growth, confidence, and creativity. I believe a kind and positive presence leaves a lasting impression.
My hope for every child is endless self-confidence and a lifelong love of discovery.
Warmly,
Alison
